Posted by: Tyson A on 2008-03-02, 09:27:14 If your are asking what you need to brew beer at home its simple. all you need is a 30 qt pot. either a 6 gallon food grade bucket and lid or a 6 gallon carboy, and a air valve. now the air valve is the most important part of this whole set up, if you think you can just punch wholes in the lid expect to have the worst beer you've ever had. when it comes to brewing beer fermentation is key so after during fermation you have to keep everything hospital clean. just go to homebrew.com or beeressencials.com. both are great sites for brewers. you can even buy a start up kit and beer kits there. |

The fermenter in these kits is normally a 5-6 gallon plastic bucket, which works wonderfully, though a nice upgrade is a glass carboy (easier to clean and less oxygen transferal over time). |
