Question: Why are there no bubbles coming through fermenter airlock? (Posted by: Will F on 2010-06-11 06:23:33) Been fermenting for 3 days now, had a look inside and it looks and smells right, loads of creamy foam, krusen i think. But i haven't see a bubble coming through airlock, i thikn the CO2 must be leaking out of the seem where the airlock inserts. |

Posted by: testi_cool on 2010-06-11, 07:19:03 First thing i would do is get the hydrometer out and do a SG reading. If that is to high let it sit for a few more days. Hydrometer will give you the answers. If you don't have a hydrometer then wait till the head on the wort has dropped. |

Don't worry about it overly unless it is easy to get a better seal. Let your primary go for another week and a half. Then, rack to the secondary (preferably a glass carboy) for another couple of weeks before you bottle. |

Posted by: Pyewacket on 2010-06-11, 06:55:08 Check the airlock for either leaks or blockages. Are you sure you've got enough water in it? What sort is it? The short fat ones don't bubble as such, just rattle their inner caps; it's the tall loopy ones that really go "bloop ". |
